ROLE PLAY · FULL OVERHEAD BINTRY IT

Passenger in 18C. Boarding is nearly finished. There's free bin space two rows back. You may not move another passenger's bag without their permission.

"Excuse me, there's no space above my seat. That black bag isn't mine, so move it. I paid for this seat and I want my bag right here."

Who it's for, and why

Many candidates meet the assessment day for the first time on the day itself.

Who it's for

  • First-time applicants who don't know what the day looks like
  • People moving over from hospitality, retail or customer service
  • Candidates coming back after a "not this time"
  • Anyone applying in English as a second language

Why we built it

Advice like "smile, dress well and use STAR" is free everywhere. What's missing is practice.

An assessment day lasts for hours and you're observed in every exercise, yet most people have never done a group task, a role play or a recorded interview before they walk in. Jumpseat Academy lets you rehearse each stage, get scored, and try again as often as you need.

How it works

  1. Practise a stageA role play, a group exercise, a test or the full assessment day.
  2. Read your reportA score for each skill, and the exact moments that cost you points.
  3. Fix it and go againEach weak area points to the guide chapter that covers it.

Every airline scores the same six things

  • Customer focus
  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Composure
  • Safety mindset
  • Presentation

You're assessed from the moment you enter the building until you leave. Every exercise here trains you to show these six.

The trainer

Every stage of the assessment, from the online tests to the final interview.

Eight practice rooms and a full assessment day simulator. All material is original and built in the formats airlines use. Every attempt is scored, and every weak area links to the guide chapter that fixes it.

6 STAGES · ABOUT 75 MINUTES

Assessment day simulator

Go through a full day in order: online judgement test, group exercise, English test, numerical test, role play and the final interview introduction. After each stage you hear whether you're through.

In "Real day" mode, a score below the pass mark or a safety failure ends your day there, as it would at a real assessment. "Practice" mode runs every stage and shows where you'd have been released.

12 SCENARIOS · BRANCHING

Role play

The passenger reacts to what you say. Full bins, nervous flyers, one drink too many, a passenger feeling faint, vaping in the toilet.

Scored on Listen, Empathise, Act, Deliver and Safety. Give in to an unsafe demand and the run fails, like it would on the day.

8 TASKS · 3 SCRIPTED CANDIDATES

Group exercise

Work with Marco, who talks over everyone, Aisha, who only speaks when invited, and Lena, who drifts off the task. Survival ranking, crew delay plans, debates and more.

Scored on five behaviours assessors watch, with red flags like dominating or staying silent.

163 QUESTIONS · 8 SKILLS

English test

Quick test (25 questions, 15 minutes) or full test (50 questions, 30 minutes). Tenses, grammar, cabin vocabulary, numbers and phonetic alphabet, reading and service language.

A new mix every time. Each wrong answer comes with the right one and an explanation.

30 / 60 / 90 SECONDS

Self-introduction

Write or paste your introduction and get it checked for structure, evidence, airline fit, length at a calm speaking pace, clichés and filler words.

Rework it and run it again until it's ready.

24 SITUATIONS · 6 COMPETENCIES

Judgement test

The situational judgement test airlines use for online screening. Read a situation on board and choose the most and the least effective response.

Scored on customer focus, teamwork, safety and rules, integrity, composure and initiative, with the reasoning for every option.

24 QUESTIONS · RECORD AND REVIEW

Video interview

Practise the one-way recorded interview: a question appears, you get thinking time, then the camera records against the clock. Watch yourself back and rate 12 checks.

Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded.

100 QUESTIONS · NO CALCULATOR

Numerical test

Cabin crew maths: duty-free sales and change, currency conversion, percentages, times and time zones, and reading tables.

Quick test (15 questions) or full test (30 questions), with every answer explained.

134 QUESTIONS · 7 AREAS

Aviation basics

The phonetic alphabet, the 24-hour clock and time zones, airport codes, geography, cabin and safety terms, crew roles and aircraft basics.

The background that helps you sound like you belong at the interview.

Questions

Before you join

How does the 7-day money-back guarantee work?

If you're not happy, email us within 7 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. It applies to your first month.

How do I cancel?

Cancel from your account page at any time. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Are these the real airline tests?

No. Airlines don't publish their tests, and no one can legally sell them. Every role play, group task and English question here is original, written to match the formats, topics and difficulty candidates report from real assessment days.

What's the difference between the two plans?

Both include every exercise with unlimited attempts. Crew Complete adds the full guide library: 28 guides, including all 20 airline guides, the Interview Question Bank, English for Cabin Crew and the five stage guides. Your reports link each weak area to the chapter that fixes it.

Is Jumpseat Academy connected to any airline?

No. We're independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by any airline. Airline names are only used to describe the recruitment process each guide covers. All practice questions and scenarios are original.

How up to date are the airline requirements?

Requirements are taken from each airline's official careers page and show a "last verified" date. Anything based on candidate experience is marked "reported", because it can differ on your day. Always check the official page before you apply.

I'm applying to more than one airline. Do I need to pay more?

No. Every exercise works for every airline, and Crew Complete includes all 20 airline guides. They share the same structure, so you can see exactly where the airlines differ.

My assessment is in a few days. Is that enough time?

Each airline guide includes a 7-day plan of 30 to 45 minutes a day. If you have two weeks, follow the 14-day plan in the Playbook.

Can you guarantee I'll get the job?

No one honestly can. Preparation helps you perform at your best, but airlines make the final decision.
